Dr. Kristina M. Reber appointed new head of Newborn Medicine
Kristina M. Reber, MD

Kristina M. Reber, MD, has been named Section Head and Chief of Newborn Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital. She will join the faculty on July 1.

A professor of pediatrics, Dr. Reber serves as senior vice chair of the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She is medical director for the Newborn Service/Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and associate division chief of the Division of Neonatology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

She is chair of the Leadership Committee for Women in Neonatology, a special interest group of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Reber received her medical degree from Ohio State and completed her residency and fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Her areas of expertise include necrotizing enterocolitis, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, large patient-oriented databases and neonatal fellow education.
