The Heart Transplant program at Texas Children’s Hospital provides complex, multifaceted medical and surgical care for patients from newborns to young adults in need of heart transplants. Since 1984, our team has performed more than 450 pediatric heart transplants. We provide a comprehensive, interdisciplinary team approach through all aspects of the transplant process, from initial referral to hospitalization and outpatient management. Our heart transplant team works closely with patients, families and referring physicians to help make the evaluation process as convenient and efficient as possible.
